It is with great pleasure that we at Enjuris announce the winner of our 2023 “Future lawyer” scholarship.
This year we challenged law students across the country to create a fun and innovative video answering the prompt:
Law school is like . . .
We were blown away by the creativity and dedication shown by all participants. Yet, one entry rose like a beautifully baked bread and won over the hearts (and stomachs) of our attorney editors.
The winning submission: Baking challah as a simile for law school
Elizabeth Gilbert brilliantly captured the essence of her law school journey at the University of Virginia through her creative video. She wove in elements of her law school experience with every twist of challah dough, cleverly showing how finding success in law school is a lot like baking bread.
The strong simile, thoughtful planning, and creative editing set Elizabeth’s submission apart from the others. She illustrated that both baking and pursuing a legal career require patience, persistence, and adaptability.
The scholarship award
Our Enjuris editors are former law students who understand the high cost of law school. To assist with her law school expenses, Elizabeth will receive a $1,000 award. We wish her success in her future endeavors and hope this contribution makes her law school journey a bit easier.
I am honored to have been awarded the "Future Lawyer" scholarship to put toward law school! Thanks to Enjuris for supporting legal education and for coming up with such a fun scholarship prompt.
- Elizabeth Gilbert
