Biography
While attending the University of South Carolina School of Law, Jamie served as a member of the editorial staff and as a student works editor for the South Carolina Law Review. Upon graduating from law school cum laude in 2018, he was admitted to the Order of the Wig and Robe, an organization that recognizes students with the most outstanding scholastic records.
He joined a private law firm in 2018, focusing on personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, product liability claims, and commercial motor vehicle accidents.
In 2023, Jamie joined Smith, Born, Leventis, Taylor & Vega, LLC (SBLTV), where he continues to advocate for the rights of injured individuals.
Jamie is an active member of several important organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the South Carolina Association for Justice, and the South Carolina Bar Association.
His peers have recognized him for his outstanding work. In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious Irving Steinberg Memorial Award for his work in the field of workers’ compensation. He has also received several Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) awards.
In addition to practicing law, Jamie teaches as an adjunct professor at Presbyterian College. His course provides a survey of South Carolina Law.
